LineTrack is the 21st
century way to track packinghouse productivity on a daily basis.
LineTrack saves you money by eliminating labor costs
(counter/checker), and keeps a detailed, accurate running total of
boxes packed for the day. Workers cannot be overpaid by checker
miscounts. Best of all, you can directly export the worker’s piece
counts into your payroll program, which saves the wasted time of
hand counting and data entry.
LineTrack can also
give you important information about product, grade or quality,
grower, etc., on a box-by-box basis, and LineTrack can track several
packing lines at the same time.
Here is how LineTrack
works:
- Each worker carries a small
roll of barcoded labels which identifies him or her by number, and
may contain other information regarding the product or box size. The
roll is easily carried from station to station if the worker’s
location changes during the shift.
- As a box is packed, the worker
peels and sticks one of his or her labels on the box, just before it
is placed on the conveyor.
- As the box moves on the
conveyor belt, a photoe eye triggers a barcode scanner, which then
reads the barcode. This credits the worker, and simultaneously adds
the box to the day’s running total. The barcode may also update your
totals with the other information in the barcode.
- If an employee quits or is
terminated, his or her barcode ID is assigned to another worker, and
the new worker simply begins using the former workers label rolls.
- Piece counts can be directly
exported to payroll, saving time that would be spent entering data
by hand.
- Safety systems prevent loss of
data and allow production to continue uninterrupted in case of
computer failure.
- Working past midnight is a
snap with LineTrack. Adjustments can be made to let shifts end early
the next day.
- Overtime and doubletime are
kept track of on the fly as workers pack their boxes. Even Weekly
overtime is kept track of!
