Memory Buttons

Stainless steel memory buttons Touch Memory buttons are electronic memory chips contained in small, waterproof, stainless steel canisters. All Touch Memory buttons contain a unique ID number that is unalterable and identifies each button. There are two types of Touch Memory buttons: read-only and read/write. The read-only buttons work like an electronic label inside a durable metal shell. The read/write buttons provide the same protection and durability and also allow you to store information on-site -- a feature paper-based labels cannot offer. Read/write buttons provide 4,000 bits of memory space for writing data and the button's lithium battery retains the data for up to ten years.

The Touch Memory button's stainless steel container protects the memory chip and provides an electrical path for communication with the TouchProbe. The top of the button is connecteA view inside the Memory Buttond to the enclosed memory chip circuit, and the bottom and sides provide a signal ground. When you touch a button with the TouchProbe, an electrical connection is established and data is transferred instantaneously.

Touch Probe

The durable Touch Probe The TouchProbe's rugged durability and real-time internal clock make it ideal for applications in agriculture, transportation, security, manufacturing, and maintenance tracking.

Touch Probe in the Downloader Memory-- The TouchProbe is available with 128K of internal memory, which allows you to store over 5,000 button reads before downloading the data to the computer. The TouchProbe automatically date- and time-stamps each button read and stores a complete record of all button transactions for later transfer to your computer.

Illustration of battery replacement Battery -- With the TouchProbe, you'll never need to worry about running out of power. The TouchProbe's 9-volt alkaline battery requires no recharging and provides up to 150,000 uninterrupted button reads. The lithium back-up battery retains the stored data when replacing the 9-volt battery. Extend your TouchProbe's battery life up to double by replacing the 9-volt alkaline battery with a 9-volt lithium battery.

Pulse Star

The Vibrating Pulse Star Probe The Pulse Star Probe is actually a vibrating Touch Probe. It has all the same functionality as the Touch Probe, except it is highly water resistant, and it is designed to be used in very noisy areas where a beep might not be heard.

Touch Probe in the Downloader

Benefits-- The Pulse Star has a smaller storage capacity than the standard Touch Probe, but was designed to be used in more volatile situations. Being a highly water resistant model, the Pulse Star can be used in more damp and humid situations. And with the vibrations, the Pulse Star is better suited for working around loud machinery.
